more leaning, still forward

The Lean Forward msnbc campaign keeps on keeping on. Last week, our team traveled to New York City to capture footage for its next phase. With Spike Lee again in the director’s seat and the network’s talent behind the lens, we’ll just say it wasn’t uneventful. Rachel Maddow even had us doing the hokey pokey. So that’s what the photo is all about.

for the love of the loaf

How do you say thank you to the world’s tastiest cheese? With custom T-shirts, of course. The mono team recently spent a delicious few days with our friends out West and got to experience the Tillamook Loaf Love Tour. To reciprocate the love, we churned up a commemorative shirt, which Chris is proudly rocking above. Credit to our own Kirsten Swank for the swervy design.

business school trip

Last week, five of us were in Boston to capture more of the world’s thinking from several Harvard Business School alumni. Invigorating conversations and focus groups have fueled some energized idea-storms at the mono wall (brilliance rubs off, maybe?). Watch for our next round of work with HBS this fall. It’s bound to be wicked smaht.

mono parties after

The Correspondents’ Dinner brought down the (White) House this weekend. Not only did Seth Meyers make mention of the new msnbc commercials, but mono made an appearance at the network-sponsored After Party. Larry, Julie, and Jim didn’t even have to pull a Salahi. They really were invited. Noteworthy gossip: Sarah Palin liked Rachel Maddow’s first spots better than her second. Interesting, but we’ll leave that up to you to decide.

leaning forward (again) with Spike Lee

Pardon us for name-dropping (or would it be blog-dropping? That doesn’t sound right). Anyway, our latest project for MSNBC is underway and we couldn’t help but share. Spike Lee is once again working his magic with mono to produce spots for the second round of the Lean Forward campaign. After wrapping a shoot with host Ed Schultz in his hometown of Norfolk, Virginia, Spike and monoites Tracy, Larry, Bill, and Riley braved the chilly drizzle to celebrate a hard day’s work. Sit tight – more Lean Forward action to come mid-April.
